This art poster commemorates the sites and scenes of Franklin, Tennessee, a beautiful and historic town where I once lived and worked. Its iconic public square is famous for gatherings of all sorts and represents community and heritage. The scene depicts the public square as viewed from the east, at sunset. Since this piece was produced, the cannons were removed from their concrete bases on the square, restored with historically accurate wheel assemblies and reinstalled on-site. Each of the four color separations in this piece, were drawn in pen and ink on rag vellum and were used to burn stencils using the photographic process. 31 editions were hand-pulled by the artist.
