Liberty Hill is where I used to live. It’s way out in the Williamson County countryside, outside of Fairview, Tennessee. It’s where I raised my kids, built my first art studio, and made a lot of memories. This tree still stands out on Old Cox Pike near the old cemetery there. And if you’re heading out there when the sun’s just dipped below the horizon, it still looks just like this. I included this image in the series as a reminder, “You can never go home.” Because home is truly, always and forever, wherever you are.
Each of the 7 images are Screen Prints using contemporary (photographic) and reduction methods as well as hand-applied Pochoir techniques. Of the 7 scenes in this series, a very limited edition of just five, 16x20s were were hand-pulled by the artist, printed full-bleed on handmade paper (also made by the artist).
